Amazing Vacations begin in Broward County!

By Michael Udine, Broward County Commissioner

July marks the heart of the summer, and time for many families to bond whether by having a staycation or exploring the country and the world. Here in Broward County we have many options that provide residents the opportunity to make a vacation special at a great resort with entertainment. Whether you’re having a restful July 4th at one of our community’s many events, taking a flight from Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to explore any of the world class domestic or international destinations, or taking a cruise out of Port Everglades, Broward County has you covered.

If your summer plans take you on a trip from FLL, we look forward to making your trip seamless and relaxing. FLL is uniquely positioned to fit your needs with hundreds of daily nonstop flights across the country and the world. We have one of the fastest growing airports in the Country and, whether traveling for pleasure or business, the world is one quick flight from your doorstep. In addition, when you visit FLL your vacation doesn’t begin on the airplane, but with the experience of our brand new and upgraded state of the art terminals complete with shopping, dining enhancements and amenities.

Port Everglades has many options for cruising from our world class facilities as well. Terminals at the port are the home to 38 cruise ships, 10 different cruise lines, a ferry service, and the world’s two largest cruise ships (Harmony of the Seas and Allure of the Seas). This means whether you are sailing for 5 days or 30, you can find the trip you desire from right here in Broward County.
