Keep Coral Springs Beautiful Clean-up – Saturday, Nov 4
The City is seeking volunteers from 9 to 11:30 AM to help beautify the City as part of “Keep Coral Springs Beautiful,” an Adopt-A-Street program in partnership with Community Foundation of Broward. Volunteers will meet at their assigned locations and work with team captains cleaning up different areas throughout Coral Springs. Lunch will be provided after the clean-up. Service hours will be provided and there will be raffles for participants. Parkland Farmer’s Market- Sunday, Nov 5 & 19
For the best fresh vegetables, fruits, flowers, homemade bread and other baked goods, come to the Farmer’s Market where dozens of vendors sell their specialties from 9am to 1pm. Veterans Day – Saturday, November 11

Coral Springs – Bring your family, friends and neighbors to Coral Springs’ annual Veterans Day Ceremony at Veterans Park at 10:45 a.m. (8601 Royal Palm Blvd). Wear your patriotic colors and support those who served our country. The ceremony will include speeches by veterans and politicians, a 21-gun salute, placing of wreath and raising of the military and United States flags. The Veterans Coalition of Coral Springs will be selling engraved paver bricks to honor and remember our Veterans. Cost is $50 and pavers will later be installed at the park to be unveiled Memorial Day 2015. For further info, call 954-345-2200

Parkland – Eats ‘n’ Beats & Veteran’s Day Ceremony – From 5:30 PM?-?9:30 PM at the Amphitheater, 10561 Trails End,
grab your lawn chairs and blankets for an evening of music, food, and great company! The City of Parkland presents a traditional Veteran’s Day Ceremony with great live music. Come hungry because there will also be a wide variety of food trucks to eat from. No tents, pets, or alcoholic beverages are allowed within the park. For more info, call 954-757-4105

City of Coral Springs Remembrance 5K Run/Walk – Saturday, November 18
Wear your favorite costume and join us for an exciting night of trunks and treats at the City of Parkland’s annual Halloween Festival at the Equestrian Center at Temple Park, 8350 Ranch Rd., from 5:00-8:00pm. Stroll through our trunk or treat lane, enjoy tunes from our favorite DJ and pick out a pumpkin to decorate at the Parkland pumpkin patch. Charlie Brown Thanksgiving – Tuesday, November 21
For ages 5 and up. From 6:15pm to 7pm at the Parkland Library, 6620 University Drive Parkland, FL 33067. Peppermint Patty invites herself and her friends over to Charlie Brown’s for Thanksgiving, and with Linus, Snoopy, and Woodstock, he attempts to throw together a Thanksgiving dinner. Children will get to make a Thanksgiving themed craft after the movie. This film is 30 minutes long and is not rated. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Happy Thanksgiving – Thursday, November 23

Free Thanksgiving Meal At 11AM, First Church of Coral Springs, 8650 W. Sample Road, opens its doors to serve a complimentary traditional Thanksgiving Dinner with all the trimmings. Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation’s 6th Annual Walk-Off For Cancer – Sunday December 3
The walk will take place at Pine Trails Park and will consist of a 5K walk, entertainment, free refreshments, exciting raffle prizes and special guest appearances from local dignitaries. The registration fee includes a Walk-Off For Cancer t-shirt, custom Nike drawstring bag, Cubs hat and additional goodies. Individuals may register for this event or groups may form their own teams. Special awards and incentives will be given to individual donors, fundraisers and team captains for reaching various fundraising levels. Anthony will be at the event and available to take photos with guests on a first come first serve basis. No autographs will be allowed. Registration sold out last year so make sure you sign up now.
