Glades Christian Academy is an exciting place to learn. This year, our students are working hard on new science concepts in Science Club and Photography Club students are busy learning how to take action shots and the correct way to take nature photos. After school is never boring when you attend GCA. Between homework help and clubs, there is plenty for a young mind to engage in.
As the fall season is quickly upon us, Grandparents are looking forward to a special day with their grandchildren at the Goodies with Grands event during our annual book fair. The fair is exciting as new books and literature activities are highlighted during the last evening. Each class participates in presenting their favorite book. Middle school students are anxious to debut the movie trailer they created for their favorite book.
Glades Christian Academy, a ministry of Church by the Glades, has just completed a fun Family Dive-In series. Movies such as Transformers taught us “ Don’t let a bad past, drive you into a bad future;” Alice in Wonderland showed us that “The more balanced I am, the more stress I can shoulder, the more blessings I can bear;” Harry Potter revealed, “How can you have victory if you don’t have a fight?” We are thankful for the creative vision Pastor David Hughes has for the church.
Families are important to us. In September, we held a Fall Festival with a petting zoo, hayrides, pony rides, a dunk tank, carnival games and a photo station. Publix was kind enough to donate all the hotdogs for the evening and I-9 Sports donated all the buns. One parent commented that, “this was the best family night.” Another said, “she had not seen her daughter so happy in quite a while.”
