There is an exhilarating sense of excitement combined with an intense desire to get right to business. Winning this election has arrived with a great responsibility to ensure that I am always available to all of the residents. I have been entrusted with a tremendous amount of responsibility which I do not take lightly. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Christine Hunschofsky for setting such high standards and expectations to which you have served as an amazing role model. I intend to work diligently to ensure that I am available, knowledgeable of all issues and concerns and take all of the residents into account prior to any decision making.
Congratulations to the new commissioners. They have shown a great commitment to our City and I am excited to work alongside them. This was a unique Campaigning experience solidified by two weeks of 12 hour days spent with so many amazing residents.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to my campaign treasurer Scott Tulloch. My Campaign Dream Team. This is an incredible, dedicated group of individuals that I have truly been blessed with: Tracy McQueen, Melissa Sackman, Heather Chapman, Melinda Green and my wife Catherine. These women had a brief pause between my commission race in 2018 and our recent Mayoral race. Thank you for prioritizing your time, committing your strength and heart into this campaign… Our city… And your faith in my leadership. Thank you to your wonderful families for sharing your time with us.
I am incredibly proud of my family for their dedication and commitment during this journey. The two weeks of early voting was an intense time within my household with 12 hour days at the polls combined with E- Learning and a myriad of “normal” everyday commitments. We are grateful for the village that surrounds our family that ensured no stone was left unturned. Neighbors that delivered dinners… Friends that drove our kids to practices… And an incredible amount of love and support. We are in this together and Team Walker looks forward to the future!
One of the most incredible components of this race was the camaraderie and genuine commitment of so many residents that we have met along the way. There is no way that I could have done it without their support. I am so excited for all of us and the progress within our city that can be made over the next 2 years.
