?Parkland gained an intriguing family two and a half years ago when Tom, Ashley and Henry relocated here. Two French Bulldogs, Leo and Layla – who couldn’t be any more opposite personality wise, complete the family circle.
Ashley tells us that Henry, 22 months, is already a 5th degree black belt and national bare knuckle champion all before the age of two! “Just kidding. His current favorite activity is spending all of his mornings at Liberty Park. He loves to help cook and is our favorite sous-chef, and he loves eating… lots of eating.
Tom and Ashley are both in the industrial real estate industry. Tom specializes in leasing and sales of commercial buildings, and Ashley is a Leasing Associate. Tom is originally from New Jersey and Ashley, Pennsylvania. Prior to moving to Parkland, the couple lived in east Delray Beach.
Tom has been a part of the BIG Brother’s program for the past 10 years. His little brother is not so little anymore and is currently enjoying his first year in college. Ashley is part of the philanthropy committee at Prologis and partners with local non-profits multiple times a year. Together, they partner annually with the Joe DiMaggio Children Hospital, as well as both are members of the Broward County Sheriff’s Advisory Council.
When it’s time to relax, Ashley says that, “Cooking is a big event in our home. We enjoy cooking as a family, with lots of music, dancing, and of course, a glass of wine. We love being outside when it’s not too hot! Swimming and playing at the park are always fun. When Tom and I get a break, we enjoy entertaining at our home.”
Ashley and Tom have fun senses of humor! When asked about Henry’s education, Tom replies, “Henry is an international man of mystery, and we can’t wait to see what passions evolve as he grows!”
Happy to have settled in an area they have admired for some time, Ashley says, “Since both of us grew up in the Northern States, we have a deep appreciation for more land and mature trees. Even when living in Delray, we knew that Parkland was somewhere we would eventually buy a home.”
