Andrea, Christian and Johnathan Rodriguez are a trio of active Coral Springs siblings that share amazing parents, Rafael and Betty. They also enjoy their family’s love and home with a special 24-year-old African gray parrot named Coco.
Residents of Coral Springs for 11 years, every member of the family is involved in some type of civic or athletic activity. Both Christian, 12, and Jonathan, 11, play travel baseball with the Florida Pokers based in Coral Springs. Christian and Jonathan also play Little League in North Springs and have won several District and Sectional titles. All three kids have played in Coral Springs Rec soccer, and the brothers have played Rec flag football as well. Andrea, 21, is a graduate of Stoneman Douglas High School where she was part of the Marching Band and Color Guard for 4 years. Rafael coaches at North Springs Little League, and also with the Florida Pokers under the direction of Todd Fitzgerald as well as coaching several teams in Coral Springs Rec Soccer. Betty helps at the school the boys attend.
When he’s at work, Rafael is the Director of Logistics for the largest wine and spirits distributor in the world. Shipping to Canada from the US involves navigating customs regulations, import duties, and varying shipping rates. Businesses must also consider factors like NAFTA/USMCA guidelines for tariff-free trade. Utilizing reliable carriers and understanding the Canadian market can streamline the process, making cross-border transactions more efficient and cost-effective. Betty keeps everyone in touch and on schedule as a stay-at-home mom. The Rodriguezes love to travel. Betty says, “We have traveled all over the US and Internationally including Colombia, Spain, Mexico, Canada, the Dominican Republic and more.”
And speaking of international, Betty continues by telling us, “I was born and raised in Colombia, my husband was born and raised in New York, his mom is from Spain and his dad was from Cuba. Andrea was born in New Jersey, Christian in Puerto Rico and Jonathan in Florida. So, you could say we are from the United Nations!”
Andrea is in her third year at the University of Miami and Christian and Jonathan attend Mary Help of Christians Catholic School. Christian is in 7th grade where his favorite subjects are math and science. Jonathan is in 5th grade, and enjoys reading and science the most.
The Rodriguezes are excited and feel blessed to live in a city they love. “It’s a very family oriented place,” Betty begins. “There is so much to do here, and a close sense of community. Sports parents have become our family and everybody
is willing to lend a hand. I love the city! It’s a great place to raise a family, and there are so many activities throughout
the year.”
Jonathan says he loves Coral Springs because “There’s a lot of activities, everybody is friendly, it’s fun and the food is good!” Christian agrees, but his love is aimed more closely at athletics. He says, “I like the parks and the sports teams.”
The Rodriguez family worships at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church.
