The Bencomo Family

Chuck and Stacy Bencomo are proud parents of their two sons, Julian, 14, and Cristian, 12. The Parkland family also loves their two beautiful Akitas, Duke and Duchess

Stacy is the Director of Operations and Procurement for one of the world’s largest ocean clean up companies whose headquarters are based here in South Florida. Chuck is the Manager of Information Technology for a global firm.

Julian is involved in academic activities in the eighth grade at Westglades middle school related to creative writing and art. Cristian, in the seventh grade at the same school, is an active athlete and proud football player on the Parkland Rangers.

Chuck tells us, “I travel often for work, but in my spare time, I am blessed and humbled to be a coach with the Parkland Ranger football teams.“ He continues, “Coaching the boys with the Rangers has been such a rewarding experience. I’ve been fortunate to be part of the boys’ growth, and seeing their physical and mental development throughout the seasons; It’s enlightening.  Football is more than just a sport; it’s a tool for learning important life lessons. It teaches them perseverance, self-discovery, and the rewards of hard work. As I often remind them: lessons learned are not just about football!”

Stacy is an active volunteer and mentor for the teens in our community at the Church by the Glades. She also serves as the VP and Cheer Commissioner for the Parkland Rangers and last, but not least, is a loud and proud Parkland Rangers team mom (from the sidelines).

Stacy gives us a clue about free time, which is scarce. She tells us, “Our family makes it a priority to spend time together, despite our busy schedules. With work, school, tutoring, and sports, life moves fast, but we do our best to stay grounded and keep faith at the center—God first, everything else second. Whenever we can, we take the time to slow down and enjoy each other’s company.”

Chuck agrees and adds to the conversation, “Whether it’s church, family dinners, movie nights, beach trips, Disney adventures, or simply relaxing at home and playing video games, we cherish those moments. We also share a special bond with our ‘football family.’ Many of the kids have played together for years, creating friendships that feel like family and what we hope will be life long bonds.“

Mom and Dad are glad to live here. Stacy shares, “We love the sense of community here in Parkland. We have amazing neighbors and friends who have become family.  We’re blessed to live in a town where people care about others around them. We love the “small town” feel when we go to all of our favorite local hotspots and/or run errands around town. You will almost always run into a familiar face and that’s a nice feeling to have that “village” when you have young children.  We have great schools, great teachers, parks, shops, restaurants, businesses and everything nearby; what more can you ask for?” She finishes our interview by adding, “We feel a deep sense of responsibility to pay it forward by supporting, guiding, and mentoring our youth, empowering them to thrive in the future.”

The Bencomos attend service services at Church By The Glades.
