The reserve is “60 acres of tropical paradise,” and displays over 3,000 species of plants. On a daily basis, the reserve hosts wildlife encounter shows that provide entertainment and education on the different species of animals for those in attendance. For those looking for the adventurous thrill from amusement parks while also looking to learn about over 1000 animals, Lion Country Safari seemingly has it all. It is the only reserve in Florida that allows guests the opportunity to drive through and admire the scenery. “One of America’s wackiest and best camping sites & road trip stops,” said Peter Greenberg of the Travel Detective. The park is open every day of the year, and in order to appreciate the experience for what it’s worth, it’s strongly recommended to spend at least 4-5 hours at the location, given that the park is over 300 acres in size.
