The Soref Jewish Community Center has been providing high quality preschool, after school, and summer camp programs since 1977. We have two great locations in NW Coral Springs and Plantation. We’re excited about summer camps serving campers from 3 months to 14 years old. We have nine exciting weeks beginning June 9th and ending August 8th. Parents can select a minimum of any 4 weeks. We offer sibling discounts and scholarships for families in need.
Preschoolers from ages 3 months to 5 years old can attend either of our great programs at the location of your choice. Our senior counselors are early childhood educators. Preschoolers enjoy in-house shows and other fun-filled activities including sports, cooking, arts & crafts, music/dance, bounce houses, water slides, and of course swimming.
Our 16 acre campus in Plantation will provide lots of fun and excitement for elementary and teen campers. We offer daily round trip luxury coach transportation from our Heron Lakes facility in the Shoppes at Heron Lakes. Our large campus offers a comprehensive camp experience with a gym, swimming pool with a newly renovated deck, sports fields and more.
Exciting field trips on luxury motor coaches are a key part of our elementary and teen camp programs. Teens travel three days a week to destinations throughout South Florida and the other two days they enjoy our campus amenities. Elementary campers enjoy weekly trips, in-house shows, contests and lots of fun activities to keep them busy. We also have an optional day trip on July 10th to a major Orlando attraction for grades 4 and up. All campers, when on campus, will receive a kosher buffet lunch. Each Friday will include a Shabbat celebration. And don’t forget color war!
Both of our locations have full-time guard service to fulfill our highest priority of focusing on safety and security. Our staff includes credentialed teachers and college students who have many years of camp experience. Junior counselors are high school juniors or seniors who are at the top of their class and involved in multiple activities at school and in their community. All JCC staff are thoroughly fingerprinted and background checked.
Specialists complement our counselors and are qualified instructors in their fields who will lead children in activities including arts and crafts, dance, drama, martial arts, sports, indoor and outdoor games. We use certified lifeguards and swim instruction is provided daily as well as free swim at our on-site pool.
