Experience Summer Camp Like Never Before with Next Stop Broadway!

By Ashley Ferraro

Next Stop Broadway is gearing up for another unforgettable summer on the stage. With a lineup of performances inspired by the fun side of the spooky and mysterious, the 2025 summer camp is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet. From whimsical adventures in Wonderland to the mischief of Matilda, young performers will have the opportunity to step into some of Broadway’s most beloved stories—all while experiencing the magic of theater in a supportive and inspiring environment.

For more than two decades, Next Stop Broadway has been cherished by families in our community, welcoming children and teens of all experience levels to discover their passion for the performing arts. Founded in 2002 by Artistic Director Cynthia O’Brien and continually guided by a dedicated, attentive staff, the program has always been about more than just putting on a great show. “It’s a safe, happy place for all kinds of kids, from the very, very shy to the ones who are already performing in front of everyone,” she explains. “We want every child to feel like they belong here and to know how powerful they are—both on stage and in life.”

This summer, the Youth Camp, open to students in grades 1-8, will feature three sessions: Alice in Wonderland (June 9 – June 27), The Addams Family (June 30 – July 18), and Matilda (July 21 – August 8). Campers will be divided into age-appropriate groups and participate in acting, singing, and dancing classes while also enjoying spirit rallies, dress-up days, and talent shows.

The Teen Theatre Project, designed for students in grades 9 and up, will take on a full-scale production of Beetlejuice (June 30 – August 1), a Broadway hit bursting with humor and extravagant characters. And for those interested in the behind-the-scenes artistry, the Teen Tech Project offers hands-on experience in props, costumes, lighting, and set design.

While the performances tie everything together, Cynthia emphasizes that the lasting impact of the program goes far beyond the final curtain call. “No matter what part they play, every camper leaves this program more confident, more self-reliant, and more connected to this community.”

That sense of belonging is what makes Next Stop Broadway so special and so treasured by those whose lives it has touched. Many former campers have gone on to careers in the arts, but even those who choose different paths credit the program with helping them find their voice and build lifelong friendships.

Next Stop Broadway is making it easier for families to participate with special discounts, including savings for siblings (10% off multi-camper tuition) and full-summer registrations ($100 off). The full-summer discount will be valid on registrations up until May 1st.

With over 20 years of history in the community and a legacy of delivering some of the most spectacular productions in Coral Springs, the program remains one of the most sought-after summer experiences for kids and teens. Registration for the 2025 season is now open, and spots are expected to fill quickly.
