November 2024 Family in Focus

Meet The Basso Family

Ivan and his wife, Jennifer, are happy with their life in the beautiful city of Coral Springs, where they have been raising their only son, Brayden, 13. Ivan says, “We have been Coral Springs residents since 2014. We moved to Coral Springs for the A rated schools and for being a family friendly community. We encourage all families to go outside and enjoy what the city of Coral Springs has to offer.” Brayden takes full advantage of the outdoor activities that Coral Springs has going on, but would also love to have a big dog someday! (Are you listening, Mom and Dad?)

Ivan has been in the telecommunications industry for more than 25 years. He is currently a Senior Director of Billing and Collections for Hotwire Communications. Jennifer was in the medical profession for 20 years, and when covid hit, she changed her career path. Jennifer began working in the telecommunications world at Hotwire Communications about 3 years ago as an Account Manager.

Brayden is in the 7th grade at Coral Springs Middle School. History is his favorite subject. He spends most all of his extracurricular time outdoors. He is very involved in a variety of sports including Baseball, Flag Football, Cross Country and Track and Field. He also has a passion for fishing.

Not to be outdone by her number one son, Jennifer currently plays Soccer and Kickball and is on the Board (player agent) for North Springs Little League, (NSLL). Ivan enjoys spending time outside by cycling and skateboarding.

When asked about family time, Jennifer replies “We enjoy traveling (we love to cruise), working out together and, most importantly, just being together. We enjoy spending any free time away from the field with our family and friends.” The Bassos are also thrilled to be part of the City of Coral Springs. Ivan tells us, “We are in a big family-friendly place. Being outside, taking walks, or riding bikes you will always bump into someone you know from our community.”

As our time getting to know this active, fun family comes to an end, Brayden says, “If you can’t find me at the ballfield, you can find me fishing.”
