7 Reasons for Workout Burnout: 1 Reason to Explore Tai Chi!

If you care about Fitness, do you know how often do we get workout burnout and why does tai chi avoid or fix it?

But who’s heard the quitting excuses?

1. My workout is boring.

2. I feel empty and disconnected from myself when my workout is over.

3. My mind’s not relaxed after my workout.

4. My motivation’s gone.

Sources tells that Tai chi, the system of movement that uses wave-like, circular patterns of moving the body, arms and legs, connects everything physical we do with our mind and spirit. It’s not a magic potion of movement, but a very slow moving discipline that, because of its slowness, allows the mover to connect movement to mind. Its purpose is to teach the mind to act fluidly as the body movements are. The physical moves are tools to connect us to ourselves.

The speed at which we move allows us to focus on the movement. The movement allows us to focus on only 1 thing, 1 body part at a time.

Picture the dandelion seed’s journey in the wind. As with tai chi, we follow the line of movement from beginning to end, each movement leading to a new beginning. No panic or despair, just flow.

Tai chi works to relax every muscle, tendon and the mind. Eventually, we reach the goal of moving while focusing on nothing at all.

For self-protection, the focus, the stress-free movement, how healthy it is; tai chi helps us avoid workout burnout. Our movement reflects our life. Our memory improves with our focus; the foundation that culminates builds compassion, kindness and wisdom.
