The City of Parkland welcomed their four legged friends to “Smooch Your Pooch” at Barkland Dog Park on February 7. This Valentine’s Day themed event for dogs included pet adoptions, a smooch booth, a special caricature artist, and pet friendly vendors. Parkland residents and their pets soaked up the Florida sun and enjoyed “doggie” treats from Farm Fresh Pet Food and Creations from the Heart. Other special guests in attendance included: My Leash Guy, All Star Coco Dog Training, Animal Medical Center and K94U animal rescue.
A huge thank you to West Glades Middle School PAW’s group for joining us and creating Valentine’s Day cards for the Dogs Deserve Better Organization. This organization is dedicated to freeing dogs that have been chained. We created almost 50 Valentine’s Day cards for the organization!
