CommuniTEA For You And Me

If you missed the 7th Annual “ CommuniTea at the Coral Springs Marriott, you missed an afternoon of multi-cultural fun and excitement. This year’s event, hosted by the City of Coral Springs’ Multi-Cultural Committee, had special highlights as the City’s 50th Anniversary was also celebrated. With the theme “A Touch of Gold,” guests were delighted with riveting entertainment and an array of international teas.

During a special appearance from everyone’s beloved “Lucy,” the audience was taken back to the 60’s with the comedy of Lucy and Ricky. The students from Caryl Fantel’s Music delighted the guests with a beautiful potpourri of songs from the last 50 decades, while a dynamic dance duo, Elan and Jordynn, graced the event with their dancing talents.

Guests brought their own special teacups and shared each one’s special story. Gifts were offered for the best teacup story at each table. Every table was beautifully decorated by guests in their own unique style, and three prizes were awarded for the Most Cultural, the Most Creative, and the Most Theme-Related tables.

Since CommuniTea was held on the eve of Father’s Day, all the “dads” present were eligible for raffle prizes. Thanks to hard working volunteers, this year’s event was very enjoyable. The committee has already started planning for the 2014 CommuniTea, another event that will celebrate diversity and the spirit of fun and togetherness sponsored by the City of Coral Springs.
