Financial Empowerment for Women – Thursday April 24th

Assuring that everyone’s daughters and granddaughters have a healthy future is a primary goal for Not My Daughter…find a cure now! Now in their fifth year, the volunteer organization continues their mission to raise funds and awareness to end breast cancer before it reaches the next generation. In their show of support for the community in which they live, Not My Daughter is bringing attention to another important issue: Financial health for women. The group is pleased to present “Financial Empowerment for Women,” a discussion by internationally renowned financial expert Dr. Quincy Krosby, Chief Market Strategist for Prudential Annuities, on Thursday, April 24th from 9:30am-10:45am at the Marriott Heron Bay in Coral Springs.

“Not My Daughter…find a cure now! is fortunate to have been embraced by the community, and this is an opportunity to give back in an important way, for all women to gain financial insight. We are excited to bring the relevant topic  ‘Financial Empowerment for Women’ to the forefront of our community,” comments Denyse Hostig, founder of Not My Daughter…find a cure now! “Women of all generations will benefit from the sound advice Dr. Quincy Krosby will share with us. She is one of the most respected, leading financial experts in the world today and we look forward to hearing her perspective on this important issue.”

A sought after authority, Dr. Quincy Krosby is frequently quoted in the business press and appears as a financial expert on television, including CNN, Bloomberg, MSNBC.  Earlier in her career, she served as Assistant Secretary of Commerce, and represented the United States to the International Monetary Fund. In her discussion, “Financial Empowerment for Women,” she shares her perspective on the importance for women to understand financial matters.

As physical health and financial health may go hand in hand, raising the issue of financial well-being is something for women to think about as they consider their future.  According to Doug Eaton, father of 2 daughters, “Financial literacy is something women need familiarity with – but aren’t always comfortable talking about. Not My Daughter…find a cure now! is taking a great step in bringing women in our community another opportunity to insure a healthier future for themselves and future generations.”
