Parkland Predators – Back to the Promised Land!

The Parkland Predators Boy’s U-12 travel soccer team became the first in 10 years to win the prestigious Region Cup for the A and C regions in Florida. The Predators led by coach Menendez and his staff were crowned champions in early April out of 68 teams entered! They beat the Coral Gables Toros by a goal to zero in the Region A/C Cup Final in Punta Gorda to secure the silverware. The boys are now looking forward to their upcoming season as they step up from 8 v 8 and play 11 v 11 as U-13’s.

The boy’s U-11’s finished in 5th place among 36 teams from South Florida in the regular season. In the Region A Cup, the team won their group in the first round and advanced to the quarter finals.

The boy’s U-10 team placed top three in the SFUYSA 2013-2014 season and won the 2014 Jogo Bonito Brazilian Soccer Tournament.

Predators U-9 boys also competed in the SFUYSA League.  Playing two years up (most of the team is 6 and 7 years old),  they did a fine job in their division and are looking forward to   next year where some of the boys will be age appropriate for    the U-9 division.

The addition of a girl’s U-10 team to the Parkland Predators travel soccer program was a major success. They finished their inaugural regular season with a 7-4-1 (wins-losses-draws) record. The team captured second place in the SFUYSA league. The girls then reached the finals in the Presidents Day Tournament in Jupiter, where earlier in the tournament they defeated the      eventual champion.

The Predators season begins in late August with practices twice weekly at Pine Trails Park and generally one game or more per weekend. Openings are available on all teams.
