Danielle Moore has danced with Stella Palumbo since she was 3. “She’s like a second mother to me,” she says with an engaging smile. Since before her 18th birthday, Danielle, now 30, expressed her passion for dance by performing in shows on various cruise lines, creating award winning choreography for MGM Studios and Busch Gardens and working for opening acts for some pretty big shows…can you say, “Black Eyed Peas?” The Competition Choreographer for Stella’s Dance Studio in Cooper City, she and her mentor have embarked in a partnership that brings Stella’s Dance to Coral Springs. Excited to teach the techniques, confidence and discipline that helped in her own success, Danielle believes that dance helps children be more self aware, keeps them out of trouble and they have a lot of fun. She says, “We’re so happy to be in Coral Springs; bringing amazing dancing instruction and helping each student realize their fullest potential!”
Now the Co-Owner and Artistic Director of their newest studio, Danielle is proud to be even more closely involved with a career she loves, a quality name in its 31st year in business, and in a community that is eager to welcome a warm, energetic and forward-thinking dance program. When sharing her vision for this newest studio, Danielle says, “I want to keep it more new-school and edgy. Our Cooper City studio has competed a lot against many of these area schools and is constantly in the top ten at local and national competitions. We know that we’ll do the same at this new Coral Springs location.” Many of Stella’s students have achieved Top Achievement awards, including Matthew DeSantis, 14, who is currently Teen Mr. Hype.
To insure that she and the dancers maintain that edge, Danielle shares, “I like to hold master classes, constantly staying up with the latest techniques, choreography, and styles.” Personally, her favorite type of dance is jazz funk and contemporary, though she’s trained in every style. “My goal as an instructor is teaching and training the kids to inspire the audience every time they perform. I want them to know that their hard work will pay off, and see them go as far as they can go.”
Students can begin as young as 2-1/2, Divas out of Diapers….all the way to a professional level. Both Danielle and Stella look forward to developing a competition team comprised of local dancers; practicing techniques and routines that will prepare them for the various competitive shows until Nationals in July.
