The City of Coral Springs’ Annual Oktoberfest event held Saturday, October 14 at the City Hall Lawn (9500 W Sample Road, Coral Springs.) Thousands of Coral Springs residents and South Floridians attended and enjoyed Bavarian food, German beers, music by the Swinging Bavarians, food trucks, and a variety of entertainment. Winners were crowned in the stein race, stein holding, and yodeling contests. The perky pup, Milo, was crowned winner of the second annual Weiner Dog Race, which had a record of 14 contestants. Children enjoyed free Skee-ball, inflatable axe-throwing, a strong-man game, and toddler play area.
In celebration of its 60th Anniversary this year, Coral Springs sold limited edition merchandise at the event, including hats, scarves, and t-shirts that pay homage to Coral Springs history. Oktoberfest is held in Coral Springs annually as one of many free, family-friendly signature events held throughout the year in the city.
