After relocating to Florida from Brooklyn, Ian and Jenny Nagle moved to Coral Springs 17 years ago and have grown their family into an active fivesome who are happy to be involved throughout our area. Children Craig, 16, Matthew, 13, and Emily,10, stay busy at school and in a variety of extracurricular activities.
Craig is a Junior at Coral Springs Charter High School and plays Baseball on the Varsity team, He has also been part of North Springs Little League since he was 6. Involved with Journalism and Photography at school, he also has been part of the chess club. He loves to fish in his free time and is part of local fishing clubs.
Matthew is in the 7th grade at Coral Springs Middle School where his favorite subjects are PE and Science. He has fun playing baseball for North Springs Little League and Winter Baseball. He also plays I-9 basketball.
Emily is in the 4th grade at Eagle Ridge Elementary, where her favorite subjects are Math, PE and Science. She has been part of a competitive, National Award Winning Hip Hop team in Coral Springs for 5 years. She has also had a great time playing soccer for Coral Springs Soccer (CSYS) for the past 3 years.
Ian is a Physical Therapist who owns his own practice in Boynton Beach while Jenny is a C.P.A who works in a small, local firm in Plantation. Ian has coached Craig and Matthew since both were in t-ball and has also coached Craig’s travel baseball teams, so he’s been busy encouraging and coaching for the past 12 years.
Ian says, “As parents, we enjoy watching our kids partake in their extra-curricular activities, which takes up most of our free time.”
When they are off the fields and out of work and school, the Nagles love a variety of activities that keep the family close. Jenny says, “We enjoy lazy days at the pool and beach. We also attend University of Miami Football games and Miami Marlins and Miami Heat games.” They also go to Orlando for some vacation time every summer.
When asked what they love about our area, Jenny smiles and says, “We enjoy having our friends and family close by and the excellent schools that our kids go to. We love the close-knit family feel that Coral Springs has to it. Wherever you go; the local supermarket, the mall, or out to dinner, usually you recognize someone that you know and it’s a great feeling to be part of a small area family.” Both parents grew up in Brooklyn, New York playing sports: Ian – baseball and lacrosse, Jenny – soccer. Jenny adds, “We appreciate that our kids have year round access to sports, the beach and the pool.”
