The White Family

For the last few months, the children in the families that we’ve featured have been all boys. In the spirit of fairness, we’re excited to introduce you to new Coral Springs residents, Brannon and Angie, with their three beautiful daughters, Lydia, 6, Briannan, 7, Kathryn, 12, and a veritable flock of exotic birds. Ruby and Joey are shown here…two others stayed home on picture day.

All three of the girls are active in the Coral Springs Youth Soccer program and Kathryn and Briannan are also fierce competitors in Tae Kwon Do. Briannan was the 2012 National Champion in her age division and her big sister was a silver medalist at the same tournament.

Lydia and Briannan attend classes at Park Springs Elementary, where they are in Kindergarten and the 1st grade. Lydia likes recess the best and Briannan enjoys math and recess. Kathryn is in the 7th grade at Coral Springs Christian Academy where Bible class is her favorite.

Angie, a respiratory therapist, enjoys photography, scuba diving with Brannon, cooking and spending time with the family. The kids love movie nights, going out to dinner with Mom and Dad, and trips to the Wow Factory and Universal Studios.

Relocating to Florida from Mississippi five years ago, the Whites moved to Coral Springs last year after a four-year residence in Pompano. Brannon says they like Coral Springs so much better than their former home on the beach. “The beach is fun for a week, but that’s about it. We’re a typical hometown family. Coral Springs is away from the hustle and bustle of the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami area.” He continues, “It’s a slow paced city with a substantial population, but it’s still kind of homey. It’s an adjustment from the country life in Mississippi.”

Angie adds, “I wanted the girls to be able to go out and just run around the backyard and be with their friends.” When the Whites are at the soccer fields or running errands, they usually have a bird or two with them to keep them (the birds) socialized…although it’s a great way to meet new friends, too!

Brannon, formerly in the Army and law enforcement, owns a burgeoning diamond cutting business, specializing in natural, fancy color diamonds. A highly educated mineralogist and gemologist, he enjoys sharing his knowledge about fair-trade diamonds with interested listeners.  His work takes him frequently to Africa.

A loving family, the Whites enjoy every moment when Dad is home, and stay busy with their avian family and extracurricular activities when he’s away. “I love to come home for Angie’s cooking,” he says with a smile. “She doesn’t admit it, but she can outdo anyone in the kitchen!”
