The Williamson Family

Bill and Tina have traveled the country with their family and have finally found the perfect place to settle down…right here in Coral Springs. Bill retired from the Coast Guard after twenty years of service and, in that time,  the Williamsons  have lived all over the country and even out in Guam. Enjoying the small community feeling after just 18 months, Tina says, “We have made some really close friends in a short time.  It really feels like home here.” With a grateful smile, she goes on to say, “Of all of the places we have been, Coral Springs has been our favorite. This is where we want to be forever.”

Their three kids and pets are settled in well, too! Ricky, 15, is a Freshman at Coral glades high school where he enjoys geography and playing on the Varsity football team. Kyle, 10, and Ryleigh, 6, both attend Westchester Elementary School in the 5th and 1st grades. Kyle’s favorite subject is Reading and Ryleigh’s is math. Not to be outdone by Big Brother, the younger two are both involved with the Coral Springs Chargers, where Kyle plays tackle football and Ryleigh cheers. To complete the family outline, we have to mention their dog, Brooklyn and cat, Chopper.

Both Tina, a preschool teacher, and Bill, who works with Sea Tow, agree that they sincerely appreciate the sports teams in Coral Springs and the dedication the coaches have to the kids. Bill is President of the Coral Glades High School football booster club and Tina is an active part of the Chargers Cheerleaders. She says, “We are very passionate about our kids’ sports teams and their education. Bill does multiple fundraisers throughout the year with the Booster Club in order to help raise funds for the High School.”

Naturally, being raised on numerous coastlines, all of the Williamsons love the beach. Tina says, “Our children have grown up around the ocean and we try and get there as much as we can. We also have family movie night once a month, where we stay home, have dinner and watch a movie with all of us together.” They also love taking an  annual family trip to Disney World.

As we conclude our interview, Tina wants the community to know how much she appreciates the people who are part of it. “From our family to yours, thank you Coral Springs for making us feel so at home.”

The Williamsons attend services at Church by the Glades.
