Glades Christian Academy strives to empower students to achieve their best in all academic areas. Teaching from a Christian Worldview grounds our students in values and character traits that will serve them a lifetime. Every grade level is developing individual stories to go out and change the world. Steve Saint, missionary and author of “End of the Spear” is quoted as saying, “Your story is the greatest legacy that you will leave to your friends. It’s the longest-lasting legacy you will leave to your heirs.” Educators like Kamau Bobb of Google emphasize the importance of lifelong learning.
Legacy is defined as, something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor. The best legacy GCA can give each student is a firm foundation. Part of that foundation begins each morning as students gather for morning announcements and prayer. It is a way to invite God into our school and to keep Him at the center of the school day.

Now some of the exciting stories GCA students are writing this year. The after school club, Majestic Missions, has collected 80 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, that Samaritan’s Purse will distribute to children all around the world. The Student Government has challenged the student body to collect money and food to prepare Thanksgiving baskets to “Feed the City” collaborating with Church by the Glades to feed 10,000 people. Stories continue with students learning new programs in our newly designed Mac Lab, athletic abilities are strengthened in P.E., and students are leading praise & worship during chapel. Families are important at GCA. We encourage parents to spend time with their children building their own stories at GCA events: Family Fun Night and Family Prom.
The greatest story my parents ever told: ‘With God and a great education you can do anything.” I was given the opportunity to carry on their legacy with a Christian education.
