When I say baseball, you say Cooperstown

Cooperstown…a name that raises the hopes and adrenaline in every player that has a serious love for baseball. A legendary place, boys can be heard whispering the name from their first little league homer, RBI or no-hitter. Another fantastic play and little Johnny has visions of the team hoisting him in the air while the crowd cheers at Cooperstown.

The Florida Falcons 12U Travel Baseball Team  is comprised of players from the North Springs Little League Program.  Childhood friends who have been playing as an organized team for just 8 months, they kicked off the summer with a trip to New York to play in the Legendary Cooperstown Dreams Park Tournament. Coach Joe Sarakinis said, “The majority of these kids went to preschool, elementary school and have been Baseball Buddies since they were 5 years old which is one of the reasons they did so well.  This is a special group of boys whose friendships will follow them off the field in years to come.” After a week of undefeated match-ups,  The Florida Falcons finished as runners up out of 104 teams falling to the RBI Rangers from Tennessee in the championship and ending the tournament with an incredible 10-1 record. Congratulations Falcons!
