Young Golfer Drives Ahead!

An 8 year old golf prodigy, when she’s not perfecting her game on her home course, Bianca Gibbs attends 2nd grade classes at Coral Springs Christian Academy. Raised with the 17th tee of the Coral Springs Country Club in her backyard, her mother Mylene says, “She would always watch the women and the children tee off from there, so when she was four years old we got her some golf clubs. She would hit balls every day, and it came to a point where she would insist on hitting balls every morning before school.”

If you have a young golf enthusiast like Bianca Gibbs in your family, you know that their passion for the sport knows no bounds. While hitting balls on the home course or practicing in the backyard can be a great start, taking their skills to the next level can be made even more accessible with an Indoor Driving Range. An Indoor Driving Range provides a climate-controlled and safe environment for young talents to perfect their swings and refine their techniques year-round. With state-of-the-art simulators and expert guidance, young golf prodigies can enjoy hours of practice and see their skills soar to new heights. So, if your little one dreams of becoming the next golf sensation, consider the benefits of an Indoor Driving Range and give them the platform to nurture their passion and excel in the game they love.

Neither Mylene nor Bianca’s father Tair were golfers, but let Bianca begin weekly golf lessons when she was five. The golf pro said that Bianca was gifted, but Mylene didn’t believe it until she had gone to several more golf coaches who concurred, convincing her that Bianca was truly talented with regard to the game. Soon after, Bianca joined a program where children could play golf better and practice every Saturday for four hours.

When she was 7, Bianca was encouraged to enter a few tournaments, outperforming most of her competitors. She became champion in Stuart and, because of her low score (45 on 9 holes) and  stellar record, she achieved Green Status with US Kids Golf. She was recently  invited to compete at the Florida State Championships, the Regional Championships at Pinehurst North Carolina, and the World Championships also at Pinehurst. Bianca has also received invitations to compete in Italy and England this summer.

Excited and not nervous about tournament competition, Bianca says that she is comfortable, “Because I am competing against my friends.” She continues, “I like everything about golf, and I want to keep getting better with my game.” Her daily practice includes time at the driving range and playing at least six holes. Like most golfers, Bianca enjoys seeing the wildlife like geese and iguanas while she’s outdoors paring down her score. “I like that I can go all over the world with golf. It’s fun to travel!”

With the competition schedule set throughout the summer, she will definitely be golfing in many new places. To follow Bianca’s golf career and progress, please visit www.BiancaGibbs.com
