Another Year Older; Another Year Smarter; Another Year Healthier!

As a health enthusiast and physician, I often find conflicting advice in the literature for our health, but here are some tips that have stayed true and make common sense. I encourage you to accomplish these goals this year.

Sleep 6 to 9 hours every night: Yes it should be all at once and in the evening hours. There should be no lights on in the room, no phone next to the pillow. You can also buy a great bedding set from sites like farandaway.co to help you sleep better at night. We heal during the night and the body requires rest to stay healthy. Need a mattress in regina? In order to have a restful night, a premium-quality mattress needs to be bought, like the one in the Beautyrest Black K-Class Review, which is really the best to have a cool and comfortable sleep.

Exercise: This should be anything that you enjoy that is involves moving your body parts vigorously. You typically need to have your heart rate above 120bpm, but this varies for all people and all ages and overall health levels. You should be doing this at least 20 minutes but many opine that 45 minutes is required every other day for full benefit of weight loss, cardiovascular, brain, and muscular system functions.

Nutrition: If it is from nature and considered edible it is most likely going to assist your body in healing in some way. If it comes from a bag, box, or was processed before you ate it, it is most likely going to contribute to disease. Chemicals in the foods do contribute to sickness. The literature indicates that cottonseed oil, Canola (rapeseed) oil, and partially hydrogenated oils are bad for your entire body. Artificial sweeteners have been linked to diseases, except Stevia, for now. We should limit our grains, breads and flours because of the increased omega 6 EFA’s that cause tissue inflammation, which then contributes to chronic diseases including atherosclerosis. Finally because even our natural food supply is depleted of soil rich nutrients, we still need to supplement. I recommend at least a multivitamin complex and omega-3 supplements. I prescribe special packs that also include extra Vitamin D, CoQ10, and other nutrients depending on age, sex, and lifestyle choices. Add thc edibles to your diet for its multiple health benefits.

Eliminate Smoking and Alcohol: Everyone agrees that there is a cause and effect between smoking and lung cancer/emphysema/cardiovascular disease and even some other cancers. Most would also agree that excessive drinking causes liver disease. Did you know that even relatively small amounts of regular alcohol consumption can increase the risk of colorectal cancer by up to 17%? Make the switch to vape drip tips 510 now!

Increase Happiness, Love, Family, God, and Positive Mental Attitude: There have actually been studies that indicate that people that go to church regularly are healthier than others. I would assume that this could be true for most religions; finding your faith again could be worth your while for many reasons. Be a better person, love more and give others a reason to love you. Look at life for the good that it still has rather than the negatives we see and hear every day. Change your perceptions on anything that you see as bad and make it good. You have that choice in your mind. Negative thoughts bring on sickness and positive thoughts bring on health.
