Parkland, we are so lucky to have the Teton Nation! This organization is made up of a group of men who not only want to enjoy the wilderness and time with their children, but also run local charity events. This burger bash had all of its proceeds go to SOS Children’s villages, which helped turn an empty area into a playground in Coconut Creek.
It was only $10 each for all you could eat sliders at the Parkland Equestrian Center. 8 different tribes of the Teton Nation each had a unique burger that they came up with just to compete in this event. There were also inflatable slides and other activities. The fundraiser was similar to the girls’ version, Seminole Nation Indian Princess programs pizza cook off that Parkland hosted earlier this year.
Pelican’s, a generous, local snowcone business, came out and gave free snow cones to all the kids! There were plenty of colorful, smiling faces!
More than 300 people attended, meeting new friends, and neighbors, and these two organizations are poised for tremendous growth. The Teton nation, and the Seminole Indian princesses also have two joint events every year. They go on adventurous camp outs and outings, tour state parks, and spend lots of time family bonding and making new friends and precious memories.
