Dr. Michael W. Mathesie, a chiropractor practicing in Coral Springs for 23 years has recently completed his second board certification. The newest board certification comes after completing over 300 hours of coursework study, three written board examinations, two oral/practical examinations, and completion of a paper acceptable for publication in a peer reviewed journal. He is now a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board (DACRB). Although there are almost 200 chiropractic physicians across the country with this board certification, Dr. Mathesie is the only chiropractor with this Diplomate in Physical Rehabilitation within the state of Florida. In his many years of practice, Dr. Mathesie has been awarded the Sports Chiropractor of the Year Award in 2000 and the Broward County Chiropractor of the Year in 2008 from his peers. He has completed post doctoral studies in sports injuries and a previous Diplomate in Forensic Sciences. Two Governors have appointed him to the Florida Board of Athletic Training and the Florida Board of Chiropractic Medicine where he presently serves as chairman of the board.
