P.L.A.Y. (Parkland Loves Active Youth) Day has been held in Parkland since 2008 as a celebration of the City of Parkland being designated as one of only 213 Playful City USA Communities. It is a an opportunity to provide participants with a day of unstructured play. The 600 in attendance were able to enjoy a wildlife show, play on multiple bounce houses, play street hockey with the Florida Panthers, learn about martial arts and participate in physical and educational classes provided by the YMCA. Most importantly, it was an opportunity for families to enjoy a beautiful day in the park with their friends and neighbors.
