The City of Parkland thanks all of the individuals and families who participated in the most recent Fishing Derby at Pine Trails Park in June. More than 75 fell hook, line and sinker (and a few bobbers) for the sport, hoping to land the biggest catch and release it after weighing. The 1st place winner was Catie DiMaio with a fish weighing 2lbs 10.4oz, Jake Aller came in 2nd with a 1 lb 8.3oz catch , and 3rd place went to Kegan Marrone with a fish weighing in at 1 lb 1.5oz. The winner of the most caught fish during the event went to Daniel Miller with 16 and the smallest catch of the day was hauled in by Ava Cipolla with a fish weighing 0.70 oz.
